Calling for LogDNA Labs Volunteers: Out-of-the-box Best Practices using Template Library 📚

Hey everyone! I’m Michael, Product Manager on the Developer Experience team! We’ve gotten plenty of feedback in the past from users looking to quickly adopt best practices for getting insights from their logs using LogDNA.

That’s why we introduced the Template Library late last year, a library of pre-created Views, Boards, and Screens that can be easily installed into your accounts compatible with a variety of popular logging sources such as Nginx, Apache, Heroku, and Windows Server.

We’re continuing to invest in the ease of use of the Template Library by implementing a major update to how Templates will be installed and managed. The Template Library will have its own management panel where you can easily install new Templates in a few clicks without needing to go through any configuration file downloads. Additionally, you’ll be able to customize which parts of Templates are installed so you can quickly remove or add back pieces of Templates with just a click. We’ll also start suggesting relevant Templates to your account when we see you ingesting logs from a source that we have a Template for.

We’d love to have some beta users for this experience. Leave a reply below if you’d like to be one of the first users to try out our upcoming Template Library update, or leave us any feedback on Templates you’d like to see that we don’t have in the Template Library just yet!
